Do you ever wonder how a seemingly impossible or perhaps a normal photo is created? Well, here is an example of what appears to be a “normal” shot that anyone could create with minimal equipment and technical skills.

This fine art image which was created by Paradise Photography, was featured on the cover of the Times of the Island, one of the premier magazines published in the Turks and Caicos. The final photo was created by a drone which was controlled by a drone operator more than a half a mile away. The final photo was a created by assembling a series of 8 professionally processed photos into what turned out to be a powerful vertical drone panorama. The drone operator composed the image to capture the fleeting rainbow in the background of what was ultimately an iconic image of the salts ponds of South Caicos.

Maskanoo Festival on 12/26

Maskanoo has become an annual tradition in Turks & Caicos that's celebrated every Boxing Day, the day after Christmas. The main street leading into Grace Bay is blocked off from cars and it's filled with food stands, vendors, entertainment, and lots of tourists looking to experience local food and music. When the sun sets, be sure to stick around hear the amazing sounds of Junkanoo. Junkanoo is a Caribbean parade where the participants make their own costumes and instruments. The beat is infectious so don't try to resist dancing and joining the fun!

This gorgeous hand painted wall mural of the Turks and Caicos archipelago by local artist, Pamela Leech, makes for a fabulous photo op! If you’re walking through Ports of Call shopping plaza in Grace Bay, you can't miss this enormous piece of art... Make sure you pause for a minute when browsing the stores to pose for a fun picture. 

It’s outside in the open and free! In fact, when on our Discovery Photo Tour, we often add this quick stop to the itinerary!
