We were proud to be part of the 2025 TCI Top Model Contest! Talented contestants competed for incredible prizes and the coveted title, strutting their stuff on a runway worthy of New York Fashion Week.

Paradise Photography has long been a proud supporter of this beloved island tradition, and Christine was honored to serve as one of the five judges—a tough job with so much talent on display.

Flamingos of Pidgeon Pond, Providenciales

Why are flamingos pink, anyways? This bird is a perfect example of the saying, “You are what you eat”. The bills of the flamingo are specially adapted to feet in briny waters where only red algae thrives. When a flamingo is white it is still a juvenile. But as the bird ages it turns pink from the food it consumes. With the increase in human development on the island of Providenciales, the once common pink flamingo is harder and harder to find. And now there are only a few spots where they feed in relative seclusion and safety. Located on the western part of Provo, Pidgeon Pond is one of these safe havens. But in order to reach these unique, skittish birds, a drone is required. But beware, the flamingo can fly as fast as 40 miles per hour. So, even with a drone, these fast-flying birds are hard to photograph. This photo was created by pulling a single image from a video clip which was set at 60 frames per second.

Every June, Turks and Caicos hosts one of the most breathtaking sea swim events in the world—right here on the crystal-clear waters of Grace Bay Beach. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just love being in the ocean, this event is for you!

The race is open to all skill levels—no need to be a pro. Choose from a variety of distances to match your comfort and pace, and there’s even a special race just for kids, making it a fun day out for the whole family.

Come enjoy the sun, sea, and a little friendly competition in paradise!

Where Is This Photo From?

You’ll only recognise this spot if you’ve been lucky enough to take a boat excursion during your visit to Turks and Caicos. This island is Pine Cay and lies to the north east of Providenciales. It’s very close but is only accessible by boat. Known for it’s idyllic white sandy shores, it’s also home to local Rock Iguanas. It’s fun to find their tracks and see them either lazing on the sand or just up off the beach. Observe, but please don’t touch or feed them. This island is off the beaten track and a beautiful escape for those wanting a little adventure!
