What's Happening in Turks and Caicos?

TCI is Readers Choice Award Winner

In the 2025 Recommend Readers’ Choice Awards, Turks and Caicos has won Gold for Best Overall Destination in the Caribbean / Bahamas / Bermuda region. This magazine is a trade publication for experts in travel so this recognition is fantastic for the island’s tourism industry.

Here at Paradise Photography, of course we’re not surprised… nothing beats having the best beaches, best weather and beautiful scenery for our beach portraits!

What have we been up to?

Starting off 2026 by photographing some of the renovations at Windsong Resort. Each year, they update and upgrade to continuously enhance their product and guest experience. We love spending the day at such a lovely property, making sure to capture the best angles and images to update their website and social media.

Outfit Inspiration of The Month

For this couple’s engagement session, we love the choice of clothing here for several reasons and here’s why it works… Firstly, the colours are neutral - blush and off-white blend well together without having to match. The photo session was held in the resort gardens with greens and neutral backgrounds as well as on the beach withe the bright blues. The neutral clothing colours go well with any environment. Then, there’s the woman’s dress. We all know how much time and effort go into planning a great dress for photos, and she’s done it beautifully here. The flowy skirt allows for the natural breeze to show some movement in the images, perfect for on the beach, yet the figure hugging form at the waist and top still holds her shape so she never looks “billowed” in the breeze. This is a great outfit!

Where Is This Photo From?

Sandy Point, Parrot Cay & North Caicos

Sandy Point is located at the confluence of Parrot Cay, North Caicos, the Caicos Bank and the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on marine conditions huge amounts of sand push from the Bank towards the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. At other times sand is pushed from the ocean inward through Sandy Point channel toward the Caicos Bank. As all of this sand moves it creates what appear to be underwater, dunes, fingers and arms. Some areas are deeper than others, and as the tide ebbs and floods, an ever changing green to turquoise painting is created. The best place to enjoy this fleeting work of art is from the sky. The fine art image of this month was captured on a sunny day using a drone.
