What Have We Been Up To?

September marks a season of slower activity on the island for travelers, which presents an excellent opportunity for us to engage in a series of commercial photo shoots aimed at refreshing lifestyle and architectural images for numerous villas and resorts. While the late summer heat can pose some challenges for working, it also creates a lovely backdrop with calm turquoise waters, extended days of warm sunlight, and picturesque skies.

Outfit Inspiration Of The Month

Our children grow up so quickly, and while the choice still belongs to parents, taking the opportunity to dress in matching mother and baby outfits can be absolutely adorable… as is the case here. This morning session was an overcast day, producing soft lighting for the resort and beach photos. Mom and baby had two sets of matching outfits, the first being a casual cream dress with palm tree details. The second outfit took advantage of being on beautiful Grace Bay beach with matching swimwear for the baby’s first dip in the ocean! What we like about this look is the subtle elegance both styles provide. Too cute! ;-)

Greenwich Channel, North Caicos

Of the 40+ islands and cays that make up the Turks & Caicos, there are only 8 that are inhabited. And at 45 square miles, North Caicos is the second largest inhabited island. Its white beaches in the northern part of the island rival any of the other beaches found on the other islands. The southern side of the island is primarily made of low lying salt water swamps and inlets too shallow to develop or even access by other than very shallow draft boats. There is one small spot on the north east corner of the island where several other smaller cays that belong to North Caicos converge to create what is called Greenwich Channel. The fine art image of this month is a composite of seven images taken by a drone and later stitched together. It shows Greenwich Channel at low tide with a small, temporarily visible, sand island leading out to open ocean.

This popular event is a highlight of the year in Provo, raising much needed funds for our local Cancer Society. Where Is This Photo From?

Turtle Cove is located on the north shore of Providenciales and by boat, is entered via a narrow channel which weaves around a bend before opening up to a sheltered marina. The waterfront is home to a handful of bars and restaurants which are great for casual lunch and evening dining. Turtle Cove is also aptly named for the many turtles frequenting the harbor, with turtle spotting being a fun activity for children.
